Support Services
The Child Protection and Support Services Programme (CPSS) promotes and protects the rights of children within the criminal justice system through the facilitation of multi-disciplinary services for children.
Children are Precious: CAP
Children are Precious (CAP) is an integrated pilot programme responding to child abuse and neglect in the Greater Lavender Hill area in Cape Town.Resources Programme
The Resources Programme seeks to support the development and dissemination of resources for the promotion and protection of children’s rights. It includes the management of RAPCAN’s Resource Centre which aims at raising levels of knowledge and understanding concerning child abuse and related issues.
Research
RAPCAN undertakes research activities aimed at supporting its advocacy and programme work. We also undertake research on contract to government departments and other organisations.
Training
RAPCAN's Training Programme provides a range of training, capacity-building and resource development services. The programme also undertakes community-based child protection work.
Advocacy
RAPCAN’s Advocacy Programme is focused on promoting and entrenching the rights and protection of children in South Africa. To achieve this, the programme focuses on the reform of law and policy, and the implementation of law and policy relating to child rights and child protection. The Advocacy Programme operates at international, regional, national and provincial levels.
